We opened Yoga Bliss Studio June of 2020, in northern Colorado Springs in order to support and foster the sense of mindfulness and connection in the surrounding community. We offer a variety of approaches to achieve and maintain your optimal health. Whether you want to improve your physical and mental well-being through a vigorous practice or through gentle movement, Yoga Bliss Studio provides a supportive and welcoming environment to do so.
What is a Cairn?
A "cairn" is a pile of rocks and is meant to mark the trail, to guide the hiker and help them find and stay on the path. Often seen while hiking a Colorado Fourteener, we were inspired to use the cairn as a symbol. We also appreciate the following explanation.
"Rock stacking has carried spiritual meaning across cultures for centuries. The act of balancing stones carries with it a practice of patience and physical effort of creating balance. Each rock can signify an intention of grace for thankfulness, or offered up for another in need." ~Unknown
WHO WE ARE
The studio owners, Jean and Deb, have been practicing yoga for more than 12 years, consistently since 2012, and have a strong foundation in Vinyasa yoga. They are eternally grateful to have received their 200 hour teacher training under the direction of Mike and Charlotte Matsumura at Pranava Yoga Center, in Colorado Springs in 2014. Happily, they both began teaching, then craving more information, advanced their training with 300 hours more, completed in September 2016, also at Pranava Yoga Center, under the mindful direction of Hethyr Pletsch.
Deb and Jean continued their yoga education by certifying to teach Yin Yoga, under Kari Kwinn (LearnToTeachYin.com). In 2018, Deb certified to teach Buti Yoga (a yoga fusion). Jean is also certified to teach Rocket Inspired Yoga. They are honored to bring more than 3,500 combined hours of teaching experience to this studio.
While the practice and sharing of yoga is their passion and lifestyle, family is also important to them. Jean and Deb share a long personal history, having first connected in the mid-1970's in junior high school, they reconnected in the early 1990's, when they blended their young families. Today, they are grateful to spend time with their adult children, their significant others and grandchildren.

ALIGN & FLOW
Focus on the present moment. This vinyasa-styled class is based on the belief that mental and physical health are interrelated and should be conditioned together. This class integrates breath and physical movement, improves focus and concentration, plus helps practitioners gain better control of body and mind.
Build strength and find balance in this fun and challenging class that will leave you pleasantly invigorated.
